STEP1: Measure the Paw

Paw Width

Measure from the back of the paw pad to the tip of the longest toe.

Tip: Place your dog's paw flat on the floor and measure the full length of the paw while bearing weight.

Paw Length

Measure the widest part of your dog's paw from side to side.

Tip: Measure while your dog's paw is naturally placed on the ground.

STEP2: Measure the Leg

Leg Circumference

Measure around the lower leg 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the hock joint.

Tip: Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight. Allow enough room for comfortable movement.

Brace Height

Measure the required brace height from the hock joint upward along the back of the leg.

Tip: This helps ensure the brace provides the right level of support without restricting movement.

How to Wear

Follow these four steps each time you put on the brace for a safe, secure, and comfortable fit.

Step 1

Secure the boot

Slide the boot onto your dog's paw, and gently tighten the velcro straps to ensure a snug and comfortable fit.

Step 2

Attach the hock brace

Properly position the hock brace on your dog's leg, ensuring it sits evenly above the joint.

Step 3

Fine-tune the fit

Press the knob down and rotate clockwise to shorten the wire and gently tighten the connection between the brace and boot.

Step 4

Loosen and readjust

To release the tension, pull the knob upward to unlock the system, then gently pull down the steel wire to loosen the fit.
